Design Approach
Rather than behaving like a new hotel mass, Lalehan builds a fragmented street fabric. Room blocks connect to the courtyard through narrow passages; the common areas are reinterpreted in a quieter contemporaneity, respectful of the historic fabric.
A facade of local stone, dark timber frames and tile details recalling the touch of the hand create the scale of a small neighborhood, joined at night by warm interior light.
